MICHEM serves customers who manufacture, formulate, distribute or source materials for construction and related industries.
Our work begins with the intended use of the finished material. A tile adhesive producer may focus on water retention, open time, slip resistance and bonding. A self-leveling compound may require a different balance of flow, stability and surface quality. Concrete customers may be more concerned with water reduction, crack control, toughness or durability.
Because these requirements are different, MICHEM does not approach product selection as a simple name-to-name replacement. We connect technical data with the customer’s formulation, raw materials, production process and target performance.

General-purpose and performance-oriented VAE polymer powders for adhesion, cohesion, flexibility, impact resistance, water resistance, flow or application-specific requirements.
Superplasticizers
Water-reducing admixtures supplied in different chemistries and product forms for mortar and concrete systems.
Construction Fibers
Synthetic, cellulose, glass, steel and macrofiber solutions used according to crack-control, reinforcement, toughness and durability requirements.
Functional Additives & Pigments
Starch ethers, defoamers, hydrophobic agents, gypsum retarders, calcium formate, pigments and other materials used to solve specific formulation problems.

From Product Data to Formulation Performance
Physical Laboratory + Application Laboratory
A technical specification is important, but it is not the complete answer to a formulation question.
MICHEM therefore uses both physical and application evaluation.
Physical laboratory
The physical laboratory evaluates relevant product characteristics and supports grade comparison, batch evaluation and quality control.
Application laboratory
The application laboratory evaluates products in representative formulations and use conditions. Depending on the project, the technical focus may include water retention, thickening, workability, open time, sag resistance, adhesion, flexibility, flow, setting behavior, water resistance, air control or surface quality.
Together, these two perspectives help connect measurable product data with the performance customers actually need.
